Anderson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Consider Extension of Probationary Period of Public Works Employee Brian <br />Swanson <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler stated that Brian Swanson assumed the position of Public <br />Works Maintenance Worker on May 10, 1999. A meeting with the Public Works Director and <br />Public Works Supervisor Staff was held on Tuesday December 7, 1999, to discuss performance <br />issues dealing with Brian Swanson. He requested that a 90 day probationary period be extended <br />with the privilege to use vacation and sick time. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the resolution extending the probationary period 90 days with the privilege to use <br />vacation and sick time for public works maintenance worker Brian Swanson. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
