with disabilities served in the City of Ramsey is 10-15. <br /> <br />Families who use the adaptive equipment and toy lending library <br />are generally low income and do not have the resources to <br />purchase toys for their young children. 50% of the families who <br />use the Library are iow or moderate income. Project Duration: <br /> <br />The services are ongoing and have received past CDBG Funding. <br />The project has served families through the Toy and Equipment <br />Lending Library and adults through the advocacy and self advocacy <br />program. Services have been provided in Anoka County since the <br />mid 1980's. The program is expected to continue in the future. <br /> <br />The project is part of a larger effort by Arc to serve children <br />and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. <br />Arc Anoka, Ramsey and Suburban is an advocacy organization <br />consisting of people with developmental disabilities, parents, <br />professionals and concerned citizens of the communities we serve. <br />The agency has a membership of over 1,600 and serves over 16,000 <br />people yearly. Arc is committed to building inclusive <br />communities and providing advocacy and support for people with <br />developmental disabilities and their families.
