There is also <br />no shoulder in fids area which c~!y increases chances for serious incidents occurring. <br /> <br />The Telecommunications Act (Section 253) does not affect states' authofiW to <br />"impose...requirements necessaw to preserve public safety" or to "manaie the public <br />rights-of-way" when authorizing telecommunication ~:ole sites. We recommend the city <br />encourage U.S. West to find a site location with safer access.
