Ms. Frolik has been with the City since July 1981,
and has served within the Community Development Department since 1986. The appointment as
Interim Community Development Director was to last for a three-month period. After reviewing
Sylvia Frolik as the Interim Community Development Director, Mr. Norman recommended that
City Council authorize her appointment as Community Development Director, effective January
12, 2000, at an annual salary of $60,325. Benefits would be the same as those granted to other
employees except for vacation. As a Department Head who is not eligible for overtime or
compensatory time, Ms. Frolik would receive four weeks of annual vacation per year, the amount
she would earn under her current position, due to the length of service to the City.
