The Committee received
manufacturers' brochures on tank styles and decorative paintings. (These brochures have also
been made available to the rest of City Council.) The Committee provided the consultants with
the following direction in preparing plans and specifications:

1) Bids should allow for a water sphere.id (the style of the existing Ramsey tower) and the
hydropillar style (the style used by Champlin).
2) A three-color painting scheme might be anticipated. (A logo rendering will need to be
determined prior to bidding, anticipated for April 2000.)
3) Bids should be received for two completion dates: Late Fall 2001 and early Summer 2001.
The Council can then evaluate the cost of completion in order to have the tank serviceable to
meet the demands of Summer 2001.

Council Action:

None required.

Case #2: Update on Storm Water Utility Implementation

Staff reported that the storm water utility ordinance will take effect March 6, 2000, and that the
first quarter billing would best be delayed. The Committee directed that the first quarter billing
be either incorporated into the second quarter billing or be eliminated, depending on the logistics
and cost associated with the billing process. The Committee also provided direction and/or
concurrence with staff on several technical points relative to the implementation of the utility,
specifically as it would pertain to non-residential customers.

Council Action:

None required.
