Mn/DOT Agreement No. 80003 STATE OF MINNESOTA AGENCY AGREEMENT BETWEEN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CITY OF RAMSEY FOR FEDERAL PARTICIPATION IN CONSTRUCTION This agreement made and entered into by and between the City of Ramsey, hereinafter referred to as the "City" and the Commissioner of Transportation of the State of Minnesota, herein~{fte? referred to as "Mn/DOT", WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 161.36, the City desires Ivln/DOT to act as its agent in accepting federal funds in its behalf for the construction, improvement, or enhancement of transportation financed ~ither in whole or in part by federal funds, hereinafter referred to as the "Project(S)"; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 16t.36 requires that the terms and conditions of this agency be set forth in an agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED AS FOLLOWS: DUTIES OF THE CITY. APPOINTMENT. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 161.36, the City does hereby appoint Mn/DOT to act as its agent in accepting federal funds in its behalf made available for the Project(s). LETTING. The following procedure shall be followed in accordance with Minnesota Law. The City shall first obtain written authorization from Mn/DOT for the Project(s) to proceed to letting. The City shall publish the advertisement calling for bids on the Project(s) in the Construction Bulletin, and in the officially designated newspaper of the City. ' .... o The advertisement shall state where the proposals, plans, and specifications are available for the inspection of prospective bidders, and where the sealed bids will be received by the City.
