Gamec and City Council members; Susan E. Anderson, Terry T. <br />Hendriksen, Gerald A. Zimmerman, and Margaret Connelly: <br /> <br />Royal Oaks Realty has purchased 87 acres of' land on Nowthen Boulevard for the purpose <br />ofbuilding a new mixed residential r~eighborhood. The property is shown on the attached <br />exhibit A. Our Company's concept development plan for this land is shown on the <br />attached exhibit B. We request the City Council to exempt the two easterly parcels from <br />the moratorium under Ramsey Ordinance No. 99-12. The westerly parcel was released <br />from the moratorium on February 4, 2000. <br /> <br />Your action to take this land out of the morator/um will permit our Company to proceed <br />w/th the review process for a Planned Unit Development, Rezoning, Preliminary and <br />Final Plat, and Site Plan approvals. Our Concept design is in harmony with adjacent <br />properties and it is in accordance with the current land use designations on the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan. Your action would not be detrimental to the public welfare and <br />would indeed promote an innovative m/x-housing development that would provide for <br />expanded housing choices to the residents of Ramsey. You will also be supporting a new <br />livable community that incorporates natural features, open space, and walking trails.
