I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION t/00-03- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REALLOCATING 1998 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHIgREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from <br />Anoka County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 27, July 14 and August 11, 1998, the Ramsey City Council <br />adopted Resolutions 98-01-014, 98-07-147 and 98-08-169 allocating 1998 CDBG funds in the <br />amount of $51,494.00, 1997 unallocated CDBG funds in the amount of $11,289.00, and 1997 <br />unspent CDBG funds in the amount of $1,205.00, respectively, towards site acquisition for a <br />senior housing facility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 19, 1998, the City of Ramsey received confirmation from <br />Anoka County that per the City's requesh CDBG funds were being withdrawn from the Senior <br />Housing Project in order that residents in the facility would not be restricted by income level; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 9, January 26, 1999, the Ramsey City Council adopted <br />Resolution #99~02-039 to reallocate the 1998 CDBG funds in the amount of $63,988.00 for <br />School District No. 28/Ramsey Town Hall Historic Preservation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City received notice from Anoka County that the Historic Preservation <br />of School District No. 28/Ramsey Town Hall was not eligible for CDBG funding because some <br />of the required preservation work had been completed by the City in previous years. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 25, 2000, the Ramsey City Council made a motion to reallocate <br />1998 CDBG funds for planning and housing rehabilitation purposes. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />IL4MSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That City Staff proceed to publish a 30 day comment period in the official newspaper <br /> regarding the City's intended use of 1998 CDBG funds. <br /> <br />That pending no negative comment is received within the 30 day comment period, the City of <br />Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for the reallocation of 1998 CDBG funds in the <br />amount of $63,988.00 as follows: a) $45,000 for amendments to the Zoning and <br />Subdivision Chapter of City Code for the purpose of implementing the amended <br />Comprehensive Plan; and b) $18,988.00 to the Anoka County Housing Rehabilitation <br />Program for updates to homes located within the City of Ramsey only. <br /> <br />Resolution/100-03- <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
