Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Well No. 5 is proposed to be constructed approximately 1000 feet due south of Well No. 4 in the <br />City's western well field located in Section 28. Plans and specifications have been prepared and <br />bids were opened on Friday, March 10, 2000. Bids were received from Keys Well Drilling Co. <br />and E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends awarding the contract for Well No. 5 to the lowest responsible bidder, E.H. <br />Renner & Sons, Inc., in the amount of $106,655. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #00-03-XXX awarding the contract for the construction of Well <br />No. 5 to E.H.
