q8 Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #00-03- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99-65 (WELL NO. 5) WHEREAS, on February 22, 2000, City Council adopted Resolution #00-02-XXX approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Well No. 5, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS: the following quotes were received: Bidder Keys Well Drilling Co. E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. Amount of Bid $127,620 $106,655 Engineer's Estimate $100,000 AND WHEREAS, it appears that E.H. Rermer & Sons, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSE¥, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) 2) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Well No. 5 in the amount of $106,655. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: ! !
