Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to accept the <br />feasibility study for the bituminous paving of Jackel Street between 151 st Lane and 153rd Avenue, <br />Improvement Project #99-I 1. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hendriksen, <br />Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing on Improvement Project #99-12 (Bituminous Paving of <br />Iguana Street from 153ra Avenue to 151st Lane) <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:32 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:32 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that a petition was received from 8 of the 10 residents on this <br />segment of roadway, requesting the preparation of a feasibility study addressing the costs of <br />paving this segment of street. This project, if ordered, will be fully assessed to the benefited <br />properties in accordance with Minnesota Statute 427 and the Ramsey City Charter. The <br />benefited property owners will have 60 days to petition either for or against the project. If no <br />petitions are received, the Council will decide on whether the project should be ordered by <br />directing the preparation of plans and specifications at the May 9, 2000 Council meeting. The <br />street will be regraded in its existing location and be provided with four inches of Class 5 and <br />two inches of a bituminous wearing course material. At locations of existing drives the <br />bituminous material will be extended one foot from the edge of the roadway to facilitate a future <br />transition to the property owners with partially paved driveways. Where it will be necessary to <br />remove existing driveway pavement to accommodate a smooth transition between the new paved <br />roadway and existing driveway, the private driveway shall be neatly cut and replaced with <br />material consistent with the removed driveway material.
