PARKS/RECREATION/ARENA COMMITTEE <br /> August 19, 1987 <br /> 10:00 A.M. <br /> <br />Bunker Hills Activities Center <br />550 Bunker Lake Blvd. N.W. <br />Anoka, Minnesota 55304 <br /> <br />AGENDA <br /> <br />Consider revised and updated Park Ordinances (see attached <br />Ordinances). <br /> <br />Co~sider request from the City of Coon Rapids to enter into a <br />contractural agreement for the Anoka County Parks Department to <br />install, operate and maintain the aeration equipment on Crooked Lake <br />(see attached letter). <br /> <br />Consider proposed acquisition by the Anoka County Parks Department <br />of 117 acres presently owned by the City of Anoka and called "Rum <br />River North Park" to be developed as a regional park. Also, <br />consider utilizing a portion of this proposed regional park as a <br />site for a new fairgrounds (see attached letter and minutes). <br /> <br />Consider how the park system should be maintained (both <br />redevelopment of infra-structure and operation/maintenance) via <br />funding and governance mechanisms by the Metropolitan Parks and Open <br />Space Commission .(see attached memo). <br /> <br />Consider. the designation of County Parks in the metropolitan area as <br />state parks. <br /> <br />Consider expansion plan as propose~ by the'City of Ramsey for the <br />Mississippi West County Park (see attached letter). <br /> <br />Consider request to limit consumption of alcoholic beverages in Lake <br />George Regional Park (see attached letter). <br /> <br />Programming in the parks (for discussion purposes--see attached <br />listing). <br /> <br /> <br />
