Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Nix-t, Kociscak, Dempsey, <br />Johnson, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Chairman Anderson called the special meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 7:12 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson requested clarification of the consideration before the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated the Planning Commission is reviewing whether <br />a transfer station is a compatible use related to' the main use. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson asked if it is a.permitted uses on this property. <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br />'1 <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik explained that a transfer station is not a permitted use <br />in any zoning district in the City and the City Attorney felt a conditional use permit was the <br />proper consideration under the Solid Waste Management Ordinance. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson noted there is no location where this use could be allowed without a <br />conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that is correct and this type of request is <br />reviewed on a case-by-case use but the office and truck terminal is a permitted use. <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson asked why a special meeting was called tonight to consider this request. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik §tated a special meeting was called in consideration of <br />the applicant's construction schedule and because the applicant would like to know if they will <br />be allowed to have the transfer station.
