He noted that the agreement for the apartments <br />would include that the apartment cannot be subsidized. <br /> <br />Jennifer 7142na Avenue NW', Ramsey, questioned why the City would need another seniOr <br />complex. <br /> <br />Mr. Bulow replied that the current senior complex has a very long waiting list. He also noted <br />that the open sp.ace of the development is well over 43 percent and the City requirement is 20 <br />percent. 'Mr. Bul6w explained that the proposed plan required five land acquisitions to put a <br />whole development together and if one of the properties is taken out of the process the <br />development will not move forward and would then either be developed commercial or ail <br />apartments. <br /> <br />Jennifer Scheer, 14033 Dysprosium Street, Ramsey, inqu{red if the property is currently zoned <br />commercial and the proposed Comprehensive Plan has the property zoned high density. <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />Commissioner Dempsey explained that the land is in a transition situation, but the oven4ding <br />document is the one that is anticipated, to go into Place which means the appropriate use would <br />be high density housing. He stated that the planning process has been done over several years <br />and was widely advertised in seeking residents to participate in the process. <br /> <br />Ms. Scheer replied that she would prefer a residential development rather than commercial, but <br />also wanted to note that the proposed entrance into the development is adjacent to her home <br />which will mean she will have several headlights sh~n{ng into her bedroom. <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson noted that the following letters were received during the last meeting: <br /> <br /> Paul Miller, 14138 Argon Str~etNW, Ramsey <br /> Darren and Amy Erickson, 14101 Dysprosium Street, Ramsey <br />· Carson E. and Michele M.
