I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #00-04- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-14 (T.H. #47 STP PROJECT) CONTRACT FOR WHEREAS, on February 8, 2000, City Council adopted Resolution #00~02-045 approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the T.H. #47 STP project, bids were received~ opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: Bidder Amount of Bid Richard Knutson, Inc. Hardrives, Inc. Dresel Contracting, Inc. Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. Palda & Sons, Inc. C.S. McCrossan Construction, Inc. $4,288,321.34 $4,332,653.67 $4,345,116.88 $4,451,365.40 $4,787,902.01 $4,804,739.63 Engineer's Estimate $4,310,661.50 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Richard Knutson, Inc. is the lowest-responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the MaYor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Richard Knutson, Inc. in the .name of the City of RamseY for the reconstruction of T.H. #47 in the amount of $4,288,321.341' 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
