I Case <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> REQUEST TO AMEND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO EXPAND MANUFACTURING FACILITY: CASE OF CANVAS CRAFT <br />By: Anita Rasmussen, City Planner <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Steve Franta is asking to expand the manufacturing portion of his business, which is retail <br />sales of canvas boat covers, portable fishouses, and related items. The site is located at <br />7815 Riverdale Drive, generally located South of State Highway #10 and East of <br />Armstrong Blvd. (County Road 83). <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />The applicant received a Conditional Use Permit in 1992 for the manufacturing portion of <br />the facility. The <br />applicant is asking for an expansion of his existing building to provide more <br />manufacturing and warehousing area to adequately serve the increase in customers. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />The applicant has also submitted a site plan for the proposed 2,520 square foot <br />manufacturing/warehouse addition. The existing manufacturing/warehouse area is 3,472 <br />square feet in size.
