Proposal for Special Event
Date sat. June 24th
9:00 p.m.- 6:00 a.m.

To whom it may concern,

The production company I represent is interested in obtaining approval from the
city council to hold a special event the evening of Saturday June 24th. The event we
would be holding is an all night dance marathon. With mandatory food donations taken
at the door. To be donated to the food shelf or organization of the city councils choice.
The propose of the event is to promote up and coming minneapolis music talent in the
field of dance music. As well as give back to the community at the same time through
the food donations.

The basic overview of our event is as follows: The venue we will secure is the
Paintball Pro. Indoor paintball course located at 6390 McKinley St. in Ramsey. Its
located in a warehouse in a commercial district so we figure that any excess sound
escaping from the venue at an acceptable level. Would not disturb local residents due
to the fact that the nearest residential neighborhood is several blocks away. We have
already had a meeting with the owner of the venue and he has agreed to let us use the
space for the evening. He has also arranged parking for the event in the parking lot
both in front and in back of the strip warehouse. So ample parking is available and
there will be none on the street. No alcohol will be permitted or served. We will have an
off duty Anoka county sheriff on hire for the evening to oversee the event and make
sure everything runs smoothly and all laws and ordinances are adhered to. The officer
will also be overseeing a crew of four bonded security personnel. We will also be
carrying a special event insurance policy to cover alt liabilities for the event. The
coverage of our policy is one million dollars, just in case your wondering, our estimated
turn out is between 200-300 people. D.J.'s will be providing the dance music we will
have two medium sound systems. As well as a large intelligent lighting setup. We will
also be giving away prizes throughout the evening for things like best dancer and best
dressed stuff like that. We will be selling tickets and leaving flyers for the event at
Fusion Cafe in and Let it Be record store. The overall porpose of the event in a nut shell
is something we refer to as P.L.U.R. it stands for Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. That
is the main goal of why we promote and hold these type of events. To bring people
together in a safe sober environment to dance listen to new talent and have fun. That
is basically all the information I can think of off hand. If you have any further questions.
before the council meeting please direct those to Jo at the city administrators office and
! will get those answered for you so you have everything you need at the meeting on
the,~. Thank you very much for your time.
0Q3~'~ Alex Nystel,
CEO G.P.
