Planning Commission directed City Staffto work with Mr. Hanson and ACE Solid Waste to try and develop a reasonable screening plan on the common property line. City Staff, ACE Solid Waste, and a representative from Bake Star are going to meet on Friday, May 19, 2000 to discuss intensifying the screening along the common property line of Bake Star and ACE Solid Waste. Verification of wetlands on the site will be determined and a report will be presented verbally at the Council meeting. Staff is also researching the status of Azurite Street and the appropriate course of action. The Development Agreement approved on April 25, 2000 for the Office/Truck Terminal has been amended to include the Transfer Station. The amended Development Agreement states under the Improvement Construction Schedule Paragraph that Phase I, which is the Office/Truck Terminal, must be completed by May 30, 2001. Phase II, which is the Transfer Station, has a completion schedule of May 30, 2003. Recommendation: The Planning Commission recommended site plan approval of the Transfer Station contingent upon compliance with the City Staff Review Letter dated April 6, 2000. Council Action: Motion to grant/deny site plan approval to ACE Solid Waste for the Transfer Station contingent upon compliance with the City Staff Review Letter dated April 6, 2000.
