Olson, City Engineer <br /> <br />On November 23, 1999, the City Council introduced an ordinance creating a storm <br />drainage utility. The utility was adopted on January 11, 2000. <br /> <br />The proposed storm drainage utility rates are to be implemented on the July 1, 2000, <br />utility billing through Connexus Energy. This first billing will cover the periods of April <br />1 through June 30, 2000. <br /> <br />Attached is the Schedule of Rates, Fees, and Charges, which amends the adopted 2000 <br />schedule to include the proposed storm drainage utility. <br /> <br />The proposed storm drainage utility rates effective April 1, 2000 are as such: <br /> <br />Residential Billing: <br />Commercial and Industrial: <br /> <br />$6.30 per quarter. <br />Based upon individual calculations at $25.20/REU <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Adopt proposed charges for Storm Drainage Utility Rates effective April 1, 2000. <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend Council Adopt Resolution #00-06-XXX Amending the 2000 <br />Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges to include Storm Drainage Utility rates. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br />Public Works Director <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />CC: 06/27/00 <br /> <br />189 <br /> <br /> <br />
