PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes <br />Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br />Human Resources Manager Rhonda Heryla <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Councilmember Anderson called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to <br />order at 5:40 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Receive Information about 2000 Ramsey Appreciation Dinner <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Heryla reported that the Ramsey Appreciation Dinner was held on <br />Monday, April 17, 2000, at the Majestic Oaks Golf Club. Staff was directed to invite 112 <br />Commissioners, City Councilmembers, staff members, and other citizens who volunteered their <br />services on municipal task forces plus their guest. Sixty-nine people affirmed they would attend, <br />however, eight of those did not show. The bill (based on 69 attendees) was $1,645.30. <br />Decorations (floral arrangements from Natural Expressions) amounted to $106.50 and the <br />entertainment (Luke Winger, Juggler/Magician) cost $75.00. The expenses totaled $1,862.80 <br />and the 2000 budget for the dinner was $3,000.
