Case #2: <br /> <br />Adopt Resolutions Pertaining to Previous Council Actions to Authorize <br />Hiring Employees or Ending Probationary Periods <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Heryla stated that in recent months, the City Council has authorized <br />the hiring of employees or ending of probationary periods, however, the corresponding <br />resolutions were not prepared for adoption at the time of the meeting. She presented resolutions <br />for adoption for action previously taken and acted upon. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Anderson to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the following resolutions for hiring and probationary activities previously <br />approved by Council: <br /> Resolution authorizing the hiring of Kim Moore-Sykes to full-time Assistant City <br /> Administrator (approved on 1/25/00) <br /> Resolution authorizing the hiring of Rhonda Heryla to full-time Human Resource Manager <br /> (approved on 1/25/00) <br /> Resolution ending probationary period for full-time Public Works Maintenance Worker <br /> Brian Swanson (approved 3/14/00) <br /> Resolution authorizing the hiring of Jeffrey Katers to full-time Patrol Officer (approved <br /> 3/14/100) <br /> Resolution authorizing the hiring of Jon Pearson to full-time Public Works Maintenance <br /> Worker (approved 4/I 1/00) <br />· Resolution authorizing the hiring of Brian Olson to full-time City Engineer (approved <br /> 4/25/00) <br />, Resolution appointing John Nelson to Public Works Lead Person position (approved 4/25/00) <br /> Resolution authorizing the hiring of Chandra Kreyer to part-time Public Safety Aide <br /> (approved 5/9/00) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec and Councilmember Anderson. Voting No: None. <br />Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Consider Ending Probationary Period of Public Works Maintenance Worker <br />Lonny Lofgren <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Heryla reported that Lonny Lofgren assumed the position of Public <br />Works Maintenance Worker on November 10, 1999, and his six-month probationary period date <br />was May 10, 2000. A written performance appraisal was prepared indicating satisfactory <br />performance for Mr. Lofgren. A meeting was held between Mr. Lofgren and his supervisor <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos, to review the written performance appraisal. Staff is <br />recommending Mr. Lofgren be retained as a regular, full-time employee effective May 10, 2000. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Anderson to recommend Council <br />adopt the resolution ending probationary period for Public Works Maintenance Worker Lonny <br />Lofgren and granting him the status of regular, full-time employee effective May 10, 2000. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
