Community Development Frolik stated that their property is located in the area that the City is <br />negotiating to develop as an industrial area and there is indication that with or without TIF <br />assistance they will develop on this site. With TIP assistance, Amcor could develop the site in <br />one year and without assistance it would take three years. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kociscak suggested approving the permit for one year to allow them time to break <br />ground on their property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nix't requested that #11 of the findings of fact be revised to read: "That the <br />applicant shall be required to maintain the temporary structure so as to be appropriate in <br />appearance with the character of the general area." <br /> <br />CommuniW Development Director Frolik inquired if the proposed wording should be included in <br />the permit also. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nixrt replied yes. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ni,'ct, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to recommend adoption of <br />Findings of Fact relating to a request for Amcor Precast for an interim use permit for the <br />utilization of a temporary office structure as amended. <br /> <br />Motion Can'/ed. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Nixt, Johnson, Dempsey, <br />Kociscak, and Reeve. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Commissioner Nixt add item #8 to read: "That the applicant shall be required to maintain the <br />temporary, structure so as to be appropriate in appearance with the character of the general area." <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Johnson, to recommend approval of <br />Amcor Precast's request for use of a temporary office structure based on the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Kociscak stated that Amcor is proposing to begin <br />construction in the year 2000 and for that reason the permit should be granted for one year and if <br />construction has begun then ex'tend the permit if needed at the end of one year. Motion was <br />amended to grant the permit for one year. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Nixt, Johnson, Dempsey, <br />Kociscak, and Reeve.
