I would also like to request the exception on behalf
of her family, as I am a[so Marlene's daughter in law.

Mrs. Katnis, Orrin Thompson Homes, and myself have had extensive communication over the past few
months with the City of Ramsey regarding the plans for the Katnis property. In addition, Orrin Thompson
has worked very hard with the City of Ramsey, and the homeowners directly to the west of the Katnis
property in order to develop a concept plan for high density residential that would satisfy those property
owners and meet the requirements outlined in ordinance #99-12.

I speak for the family when I say that we agree with the letter from On'in Thompson dated July 10, 2000
which outlines the reasons for the Moratorium Hardship Exception request for the Katnis property.

P[ease sumit our request to the City Council for review. We thank you for your prompt attention, an hope
that the City will grant our request.

Respectfully,

J)Ifie//~I;~cotte
,Coldwell Banker

Cc;

Burnet

James Norman, City Administrator
William Goodrich, City Attorney
Jerome Simons, Attorney for Orrin Thompson Homes, Messerli & Kramer
Paul Zisla, Attorney for Marlene Katnis, Moss & Bamet
Jori Aune, On'in Thompson Homes
Mrs. Marlene Katnis

-83-
Independently Owned And Operated By NRT Incorporated.
