The Predesign process is <br />intended to improve facility planning and therefore building design and construction. Approval <br />of applications by the Department of Administration is required before contracts can be <br />completed for any grants in excess of $500,000. CFL/MASC will secure this approval from <br />the Department of Administration. <br /> <br />I. Project Name <br /> <br />II. Project Summary <br /> <br />III. Program Narrative <br /> <br />Provide a comprehensive description and plan for meeting the existing need for services <br />through construction or modification of the facility. <br /> <br />a. Restate statutory requirements that drive the operation program(s) (if <br />appropriate) <br /> <br />b. Describe the activities, goals, and program services to be provided in the <br />proposed facility. <br /> <br />c. Describe the needs of the community, documenting both poverty level in county <br />or municipality, number of children, youth, and families not receiving services. <br />Provide evidence of successful prior experience in developing and managing the <br />program to be housed in the facility. <br /> <br />d. Describe needs analysis and planning process, including alternatives considered <br />(e.g. using existing space, adapting existing space, coqocation). Explain why the <br />proposed alternative was chosen. <br /> <br />e. Demonstrate evidence of consultation with representatives from neighborhood <br />groups, advocacy organizations and other interested parties. Include letters of <br />community support for the project. <br /> <br />f. Give detailed explanation of collaborative efforts, including development of <br />family resource centers or "one stop" model. Include interagency agreements and/or <br />letters of support.
