Council member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />ATTEST: <br />City Administrator <br />RESOLUTION #11 -02- <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF TAX FORFEIT PROPERTY FOR PARK <br />PURPOSES <br />WHEREAS, Outlot K, Ramsey Town Center 8 Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota, except <br />the West 140 feet thereof, PIN# 28- 32 -25 -21 -0036, has forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non- <br />payment of taxes (the "Subject Property "); and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has designated the Subject Property for park and recreational <br />purposes and said property is adjacent to a similarly designated park property; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of the City to acquire the Subject Property to <br />protect the existing park and ensure future maintenance and use of the Subject Property. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to complete the application for a state <br />use deed and any other necessary paperwork to secure ownership of the Subject Property for <br />park purposes. <br />2. The Council hereby authorizes payment of the costs of acquisition and recording of the tax <br />deed, estimated at $325.00. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council the <br />day of February, 2011. <br />Mayor <br />
