Goodrich, City Attorney <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />This proposed ordinance was introduced at the Council's meeting on November 28, 2000. It is now <br />eligible for adoption. The purpose for the ordinance is to allow the City to convey a small parcel of <br />land that is necessary to clear title to a part of Azurite St-reet. The existing legal description for that <br />part of Azurite Street NW lying between Ferrum Second Addition and the ACE Solid Waste, Inc. <br />site contains errors in that it-creates gaps and overlaps. In order to resolve these issues, the <br />respective landowners have agreed to exchange quit claim deeds. The City will receive deeds for <br />certain remnant parcels and we will need to give two deeds. There will be no consideration fi.om <br />any party. <br /> <br />The proposed ordinanCe allowing the sale or conveyance of a small parcel of City owned land in <br />order to clear up title defects in the legal description of a part of Azurite Street'and adjacent <br />properties is attached. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff reco~ru'nends that the Council adopt the ordinance authorizing the conveyance of a part of <br />Outlot A, FERRUM SECOND ADDITION. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Ordinance #00-__ authorizing the conveyance of a part of Outlot A, FERRUM <br />SECOND ADDITION, Anoka County, Mi~mesota. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Attorney <br />City Admi~fistrator <br />Zoning Administrator <br />City Engineer Jankowski <br /> <br />CC: 12/12/00 <br /> <br />-315- <br /> <br /> <br />
