-18- CITY OF RAMSEY AMENDMENT T O CONTRACT FOR CURBSIDE RECYCLING SERVICES Tkis Agreement is made as of December , 2000, between the City of Ramsey, a Minnesota Municipal Corporation ("City") and Ace Solid Waste, Inc. ("Contractor"). RECITALS WHEREAS, the City and Contractor entered into a Contract for Curbside Recycling Services dated November 25, 1997 (the "1997 Contract"); and ;VI-tEREAS, the parties now desire toamend the 1997 Contract and in order to extend its term. NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed by and between the parties hereto as follows: 1. That Section 4, entitled "Term of Contract" paragraph A. of the I997 Contract is amended to provide as follows: A.. The term of this Contract shall be January 1,2001 through December 31,2001. Section 8 of the 1997 Contract entitled "Compensation" is amended to provide as follows: Section 8. Compensation. The City will compensate the Contractor for the collection of recyc[able materials from City residents a sum equivalent to $1.78 for each residence located within the City during the Contract term of January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001. Except as expressly amended in Paragraphs 1 and 2 above, all other conditions, provisions or'te;~.~ms of the 1997 Contract shall continue in force and effect.
