Thieling/ 070600 Topics for future meetings - Discussion ensued relating i0 the Goodrich notification process (i.e., a development is happening in the City, how do the residents find out about it?) Bill - would you please write a case explaining what the Charter can and can't do about the notification process? Can they make the City give more notice to residents - widen the radius of notification, etc? The Commission understands that if there is not enough time to research this to get it on the agenda in two weeks, then it could be placed on a subsequent agenda. Bill - you make the call. Thanks. Thieling 070600 The Charter Commission has asked for a case to allow discussion with regard to what they need clarification on in the chapters of the Charter. Moore-SYkes 070600 The Commissi(~n asked if there is a way for the Rarnsey Resident to be more informative - getting the news when it is happening. You may want to ask Council is they are interested in budgeting 12 issues next year. You may also want to ask the Community Development Department and the Engineering/Public Works Departments for input on things that are happening, are about to happen, etc. Jo will continue to do the "What's Happening", however, maybe it needs to be more informational. Can we visit on this? The update of the web site was discussed as a resource for information.
