<br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Motion to by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to close the <br />public hearing, <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 8:35 p.m, <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Connolly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 8:35 p,m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to table the <br />item, <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Hendriksen Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman, Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for an Electrical Substation; Case of <br />Connexus Energy <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman stated that on August 4, 1999, the City received an <br />application from Connexus Energy for a conditional use permit to construct and operate an <br />electrical substation in the A.E.C. Energy Park 4lh Addition. The purpose of the substation is to <br />facilitate continued electrical service in the industrial/commercial districts of the City. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated that she had noticed that part of the landscaping had been <br />changed and questioned if it is in compliance for landscaping a substation. <br /> <br />Larry Peterson, Vice President Corporate Services at Connexus Energy, stated that the change to <br />the landscape plan was requested by the City and that Connexus is comfortable with the change. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman questioned the paving of 143rd Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr, Peterson explained that Connexus 'is proposing to pave the off-street parking area and access <br />from 143rd Avenue, <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired who would pay for the blacktop. <br /> <br />City Council/September 28,1999 <br />Page 15 of 30 <br /> <br />\V\~S <br />
