<br />Mr. Peterson replied Connexus, <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to adopt <br />Resolution #99-09-184 adopting Findings of Fact #0505 relating to Connexus' request for a <br />conditional use permit for an electrical substation. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen, Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Connolly, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to approve <br />Connexus' request for a conditional use permit for an electrical substation with the modified <br />Landscape Plan and adopt Resolution #99-09-185 declaring tenus of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried, Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Connolly, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Hendriksen, Voting No: None, <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for Self Service Mini-Storage Units in <br />the Commercial District; Case of Zitco, Inc. <br /> <br />Case #9: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Approval of Zitco Building; Case of Lowell Zitzloff <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman stated on August 19, 1999, the City received an <br />application from Zitco, Inc. for a conditional use permit to construct and operate self-service <br />mini-storage units at 6111 Highway #10 NW. Zitco is proposing to construct a multi-tenant <br />retail building on Highway #10 and a portion of the building is proposed to be designed with <br />self-service mini-storage units. They are also proposing to house some additional self-service <br />storage units in an accessory building on the site. City Code does not permit self-service mini- <br />storage in any district and a conditional use permit is required. The development plan, including <br />the mini-storage units, complies with the 35% lot coverage restriction. The building exterior is <br />proposed to consist of rock face block which i$ in accordance with architectural standards <br />established in City Code, <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated that'l1er son is an employee of Zitco, Inc. and that she will <br />abstain from discussion, <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that there might be some issues relevant to the site plan in <br />Case #9 and suggested handling both cases together, <br /> <br />City Council/September 28, 1999 <br />Page 16 of 30 <br />
