Monthly Status Report

Frolik/Walther 11/03/98 The Planning Commission directed Staff to design a formula
Pending for warehouse parking requirements.

Frolik/ 9/28/99 Following is the discussion during the CDBG case:
Complete Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if funds would reduce the
cost of the project for ACCAP. Ms. Sherman replied that it has
not been determined how the funds would be used.
Councilmember Hendriksen asked if the intention would be to
reduce the cost of the project for ACCAP by $63,000 or reduce
the cost the City has in the project. Ms. Sherman replied that the
funds would be given to ACCAP to use as they see fit.
Councilmember Zimmerman questioned if there would be
anything committing ACCAP to using the funds in Ramsey. Ms.
Sherman replied yes. Councilmember Anderson asked if they
could make it a stipulation as part of the agreement that they have
to use the funds in Ramsey. Councilmember Hendriksen stated
that the City is spending a great deal more money acquiring land
for the site and then ACCAP would be receiving funds to reduce
their costs. "He requested that staff review the possibility of using
the funds to lessen the cost to the City for land acquisition.
Councilmember Connolly stated that she would like to explore
other options. Council was asked to table the item to allow staff
to review the rules as to what the money can be used for.
Frolik/ 9/21/99 During the discussion of vacating certain drainage and utility
Pending easements in Northfork Oaks 2nd Addition - Burnham -
Councilmember Anderson stated that she is concerned over legal
issues, and the fact that a lot combination could be done without
the involvement of the City. Councilmember Hendriksen noted
that the City does have a subdivision ordinance that would not
allow a lot split to be done without the involvement of the City.
Councilmember Zimmerman suggested requiring Council
approval for any lot combination in the future. Consensus was to
have the Planning Commission review this issue.
