Remedies suggested for the issues listed above were: 1) Council goals; 2) A more timely
mechanism than meeting minutes for an effective exchange between the Planning Commission
and City Council. Consensus was that a member of the Planning Commission could attend the
Council meetings and report back to the Planning Commission. City Staff will also work to
process meeting minutes in a more timely manner. It was also suggested that it might be helpful
for the Planning Commission to receive a copy of the City Administrator's Weekly Update and
the Update should be expanded to include a summary of any Planning Commission or City
Council meetings held each week.

There was agreement that Bill Hudson may conduct one-on-one interviews with willing
Councilmembers and Commissioners.

The next joint meeting of the Planning Commission and City Council was set for Monday,
March 20 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT

The consensus of the members present was to adjourn this special meeting of the Planning
Commission and City Council at 7:05 p.m...

Respect_fully submitted,

Sylvia Frolik
Community Development Director

James E. Norman
City Administrator
