Acting Chairperson Nixt stated if a more intense screening plan is feasible, it is an option. <br />However, he is not inclined to suggest is as a necessity. He asked Mr. Berkopec if he is open to <br />the suggestion. <br /> <br />Mr. Berkopec said they want to work with the City. -They are in a situation now where they do <br />not know what they can do to make this person happy, but they will do what they can. <br /> <br />Mr. Hanson suggested a real survey be done showing the comer of the property where the pond <br />will be situated. He stated a couple of minor trees will have to go for the pond and a pond makes <br />a lousy visual screen. He stated that all of a sudden he is hearing the pond will be outside their <br />fenced area and this is a very big concern, as the debris could wash off their site into an open <br />pond with fluctuating water tables. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson informed Mr. Hanson that Staff would look at the screening. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Dempsey, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to recommend that <br />City Council approve the site plan for to ACE Solid W'aste~ contingent upon compliance with the <br />City Staff Review Letter dated April 6, 2000, and subject to the following two positions: <br /> <br />The positive outcome of the wetland determination. <br />The resolution of the property regarding Outlot A and whether that has to be sold to the <br />City by the landowner of that lot. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Johnson requested Staffto take care of the screening issues. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Dempsey, Kociscak, <br />Johnson, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Anderson.' <br /> <br />Case #1I: Zoning Bulletin and Zoning News <br /> <br />Noted. <br /> <br />OTHER COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Megan Wald requested two Commissioners to participate on a subcommittee with the EDA and <br />two Councitmembers. The subcommittee will work on a redevelopment study for Highway 10. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Nixt and Commissioner Kociscak volunteered to attend the first meeting of <br />the subcommittee. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Wivoda, seconded by Commissioner Kociscak, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/May 2, 2000 <br /> Page 22 of 23 <br /> <br /> <br />
