Norman <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Administrative Intern Melissa Petrangelo <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at <br />5:33 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Receive Information about Health Insurance for Elected Officials <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith, upon request, presented information <br />about health insurance for elected officials. Currently, elected officials and part-time <br />employees are not eligible for health insurance. If the City decides to include the elected <br />officials, it must pass upon a resolution stating that the elected officials will be eligible <br />for inclusion in the plan. A copy of the resolution is forwarded to the plan administrator. <br />The City has to contribute the same amount of money toward coverage for the elected <br />official as it does for other employee groups. She added that if an entire group is added <br />to the plan, coverage could begin at any time, not only during open enrollment. <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee "so noted" the information. <br /> <br />Personnel Committee/November 24, 1998 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
