Alexandra House <br /> <br />.$2,000.00 <br /> <br />Funds will be used to provide domestic violence intervention, prevention, and outreach advocacy <br />for battered women and families, In 1999, 145 Ramsey women and families received services <br />from Alexandra House. <br /> <br />North Anoka Meals on Wheels ~,/ $4,094.0Q <br /> <br />Funds will be used for a site coordinator from Ramsey and to subsidize meals on a temporary or <br />permanent basis. <br /> <br />Community Emergency Action Program (CEAP) ~// .$2,000.00 <br /> <br />CEAP provides families with food, clothing and financial assistance to stabilize the living <br />situation during a crisis and prevent hunger and homelessness. CEAP will serve (food shelf <br />assistance) approximately 187 families from zip code 55303. Approximately 7 families from <br />Ramsey will receive financial assistance in 2000. <br /> <br />Family Life Mental Health Center .~/'~ ' .$2,000.00 <br />The funds would be used to provide mental health car to persons who are uninsured or unable to <br />pay the cost of professional care. These persons are most often low income, unemployed, or <br />disabled. Records show that approximately 70 Ramsey residents were served in 1999. <br /> <br />Rise $2,000.00 <br /> <br />Rise aids the disabled with career planning, job training and placement, and transportation to <br />jobs in order that they can become productive, wage-earning citizens. The funds will be used <br />towards the purchase of 2 mini-buses with wheelchair lifts and 3 t5-passenger vans. The <br />organization serviced 15 Ramsey residents in 1998, 10 of whom are transported by Rise vans <br />each day. <br /> <br />ACCAP Senior Outreach ~ $3,163.00 <br /> <br />Senior Outreach serves seniors and disabled adults by assisting them in obtaining help through <br />food programs, health services, energy assistance, and crisis home repairs. The funding will be <br />used to provide an Outreach Worker in Ramsey for 5.5 hours per week. Ramsey has not funded <br />this agency for 3 years and as a result, they indicate that the outreach worker can only serve <br />Ramsey in crisis intervention versus crisis prevention situations. <br /> <br />North Suburban Counseling Center <br /> <br />.$1,500.00 <br /> <br />North Suburban provides mental health services to u~nsured residents of Anoka County. <br /> <br /> <br />
