Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-06-159 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0649 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-1 SINGLE FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL TO R-2 MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 5, 2003, the City of Ramsey (the "City") received an application <br />from Oak Creek Builders Inc. to rezone certain property in accordance with Section 9.03.03 <br />(Zoning Amendments) of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That Oak Creek Builders Inc., hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant," has properly <br />applied to rezone the following legally described property from R-1 Single Family <br />Residential to R-2 Medium Density Residential: <br /> <br />That part of the north half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 32, <br />Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying northerly of 153ra Avenue NW and lying <br />easterly of the easterly right of way line of Anoka County Highway right-of-way Plat <br />No. 1, except that part thereof lying west of the following described line: <br /> <br />Commencing at the intersection of the north line of said north half of the Southwest <br />Quarter with the east line of said Anoka county Highway right-of-way Plat No. 1; thence <br />easterly along the said north line 214.98 feet to the point of beginning of the line to be <br />described; thence southerly at an angle to the left from said north line of 93 degrees 04 <br />minutes 26 seconds a distance of 196.19 feet, more or less, to the northerly line of said <br />153rd Avenue NW and said line there terminating. <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.03 of <br />the City Code on June 5, 2003, and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the <br />minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the total area of the property to be rezoned is approximately 1.5 acres. <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is located within the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) <br />boundary. <br /> <br />5. That the Subject Property is currently zoned R-1 Single Family Residential. <br /> <br />That the 2002 Comprehensive Plan designates the Subject Property as low density <br />residential. <br /> <br /> <br />
