Motion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to introduce an ordinance amending Section 9.20.04 "Map" of Chapter 9 of the City Code of Ramsey, Minnesota. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Pearson, Elvig, Cook, Kurak, and Zimmerman. VotingNo: None. Case #5: Adopt Ordinances to Amend Housing Maintenance Standards and Licensing Requirements for Rental Housing Community Development Director Frolik stated that in 2002, the City Council directed staff to review and update City Code as it relates to the maintenance of all housing in the City of Ramsey, as well as the licensing of rental housing. The Ramsey Housing Committee has reviewed the draft amendments to City Code and forwarded it to the City Council for review. The City Council formally introduced both ordinances at the July 8, 2003 Council meeting. Both ordinances would take effect 30 days after passage and publication, but the Rental Licensing ordinance will not be fully implemented by staff until January 2004. The Rental Licensing Fee will be included on the 2004 Rates, Fees, and Charges schedule. Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt Ordinance #03- 25 amending Section 8.60 (Residential Housing Standards) and repeal Section 8.61 (Multiple Dwellings) of City Code regarding housing maintenance. A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: Councilmember Pearson aye Councilmember Elvig aye Councilmember Strommen absent Councilmember Kurak aye Councilmember Cook aye Councilmember Zimmerman aye Mayor Gamec aye Motion carried.
