The current standard is six-inch signs. The new signs will provide <br />better visibility along these higher speed roadways. This is a new standard in the Manual of <br />Uniform Traffic Control, which went into effect in 1999. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />No action is necessary. <br /> <br />Case #2: Review Revised Primary Snow Plow Routes <br /> <br />The primary snowplow routes are defined as those streets that are to be cleared at the start of a <br />snowplowing operation. The Committee reviewed and approved the modifications proposed by <br />Staff. Engineering will have maps prepared. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />No action is necessary. <br /> <br />Case #3: Purchase Update on Replacement Grader <br /> <br />The Public Works Staff evaluated three grader models and have recommended the 1999 John <br />Deere 772CH Motor Grader at an approximate cost of $160,000. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />No.action is necessary. <br /> <br />Case #4: Communication from Anoka County Regarding 1999 Construction Season <br /> <br />The Committee reviewed a draft letter to Anoka County transmitting the City's desired priorities <br />for the 1999 construction season. Attached is a copy of the proposed letter that includes the <br />changes suggested by the committee. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to direct Staff to submit letter to Anoka County regarding the City's desired priorities for <br />the 1999 construction season. <br /> <br /> <br />
