PC CASE #: 4 <br /> <br />COMMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ON CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S <br />PERFORMANCE APPRAIS ".~ <br /> By: Joyce Prnitt Hottinger, Administrative Services Manager <br /> April, 1999 <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Five elected officials evaluated City Administrator Jim Norman's performance, using the same <br />form and rating system. For purposes of comparison, letter ratings were converted to numeric <br />values and averaged. Thus, E (exceeds expectations)= 2; M (meets expectations)=l; B (below <br />expectations) =0. <br /> <br />The performance appraisal compilation sheets were sent to the Mayor and Councilmembers <br />under separate cover with the Council agenda. Ratings were fairly cgnsistent, averaging a <br />"meets expectations" for each major area of responsibility.
