Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />During periods when the City Administrator is unavailable, it may be reasonable to consider <br />having a Deputy City Administrator assigned to assist with signatures for formal documents, and <br />other such duties. Formal documents require an ink signature, so a stamped signature copy will <br />not suffice. In order to provider greater customer service, I propose the City name Joyce Pruitt <br />Hottinger, Administrative Services Manager, as the Deputy City Administrator, when I am not <br />available. <br /> <br />As Council may recall, Resolution #97-08-217 authorized Linda Waite Smith, previous <br />Administrative Services Manager, as Acting City Administrator, during the period between City <br />Administrators. The attached resolution mirrors Resolution #97-08-217. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Approve the attached resolution appointing Joyce Pruitt Hottinger, Administrative Services <br />Manager, as Deputy City Administrator, and authorizing Ms. Hottinger to serve in this capacity <br />in my absence. <br /> <br />Council Action: ~O~ ~ ] ~/J'~ <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #99-05-XXX authorizing the appointment of Joyce Pruitt Hottinger <br />as Deputy City Administrator <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br />City Administrator <br />Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />Copies also distributed to: <br /> <br />CC 05/25/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
