Norman <br />Administrative Services Manager Joyce Pruitt Hottinger <br />Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson called the 'regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to <br />order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case#l: Receive Hiring Recommendation for Public Works Maintenance <br /> Position (2 Positions) <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Pruitt Hottinger stated that the City advertised for two <br />Public Works Maintenance Workers in March 1999. Thirty-three applications were <br />received and eight applicants were invited to interview. Staff is recommending that Brian <br />Swanson and Charles Cornelius be hired, contingent upon successful background checks. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Couneilmember Anderson to recommend <br />Council authorize hiring Brian Swanson and Charles Cornelius as Public Works <br />Maintenance Workers, at an hourly salary of $11.57, or $24,066, contingent upon <br />successful completion of background investigations of driving record and criminal <br />history, reference checks, drug test and a physical examination. <br /> <br />Personnel Committee/April 27, 1999 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />55 <br /> <br /> <br />
