Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1499-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT <br />STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - DIVISION B - <br />(IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS 1499-01 THROUGH 1499-03) <br /> <br />FOR THE 1999 <br />SEALCOATING <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolutions 1499-05-080 through #99-05-082 were adopted by Ramsey City <br />Council on May 11, 1999, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above <br />referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolutions 1499-06-XXX through #99-06-XXX were adopted by Ramsey <br />City Council approving the plans and specifications and the advertisement for bids for the above- <br />referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1999 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 8, 1999; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received for Division B - Sealcoating: <br /> <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1999 Street <br />Maintenance Program - Division B - Sealcoating (Improvement Projects #99-01 through <br />1499-03) in the amount of $ <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> <br />
