Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #99-05-XXX RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 1998 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - DIVISION C - BITUMINOUS OVERLAY (IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS #99-04 THROUGH #99-07) WHEREAS, Resolutions #99-05-083 through #98-05-086 were adopted by Ramsey City Council on May 11, 1999, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, Resolutions #99-06-XXX through #99-06-XXX were adopted by Ramsey City Council approving the plans and specifications and the advertisement for bids for the above- referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1999 Street Maintenance Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 8, 1999; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received for Division C - Bituminous Overlay: Bidder Amount of Bid Engineer's Estimate AND WHEREAS, it appears that is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1998 Street Maintenance Program - Division C - Bituminous Overlay (Improvement Projects #98-08 through #98-12) in the amount of $ 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: I I I ! I I I I !
