❑ <br />■ Spray -applied coatings must be applied with high -volume low-pressure (HVLP) spray <br />guns, HVLP-equivalent technology, electrostatic application, airless spray gun, or air - <br />assisted airless spray gun. <br />• Spray guns must be cleaned using non -atomizing methods. <br />■ Painters must be trained and certified in the proper application of surface coatings. <br />• An Initial Notification form must be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection <br />Agency (EPA). <br />• Records demonstrating compliance with these requirements must be kept on site. <br />Please Check One <br />This facility is currently in compliance with all of the requirements listed above. <br />This facility does not use coatings that contain cadmium, chromium, lead, manganese, <br />or nickel, and has received an approved petition for exemption from the EPA. <br />5.
