2) Association of Metropolitan Cities <br /> <br /> City Administrator Norman announced that the Association of Metropolitan Cities is <br /> meeting on the 20th of May and that reservations need to be made. <br /> <br />3) Youth First Golf Outing <br /> <br /> It was noted that the dates for the Youth First Golf outing are June 7 and June 14. <br /> <br />4) Cluster Development Seminar <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman announced the cluster development seminar <br />scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on May 19, in Otsego, and that Council should RSVP to her if <br />they would like to attend. <br /> <br />5) Comp Plan <br /> <br />With regard to another comp plan meeting, staff will get the plan to Council and then the <br />decision can be made of when to meet. · <br /> <br />6) Piano for Seniors Area <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced that he found and the City purchased the new piano for the <br />senior's area; now we have to get rid of the two old pianos. However, they first need to <br />be declared surplus property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen and seconded by Mayor Gamec to declare the <br />two old pianos from the seniors area surplus property. <br /> <br />7) Rehashing Committee Discussions <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that Councilmember Zimmerman had mentioned that a lot of the <br />things Council takes action on at the end of the meeting has already had a lengthy <br />discussion at the committee level, i.e. Personnel, Finance, etc. Mayor Gamec and <br />Councilmember Zimmerman wondered if Council was interested in handling this part of <br />the meeting with one motion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman added that all the items will already have been discussed <br />and it would help shorten Council's meeting. <br /> <br />It was determined that Council would give this idea some thought. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen and seconded by Councilmember Anderson to <br />adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br /> City Council/May 11, 1999 <br /> Page 17 of 19 <br /> <br /> <br />
