Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Anderson to <br />approve a feasibility study for a nine-hole golf course in conjunction with <br />commercial/industrial land development at the Waste Management site. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Hendriksen stated that this needs to be focused on <br />land that's not taking commercial development off the table. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Anderson <br />and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Proposed Fee Amendments for Agenda Copies/Distribution <br />City Administrator Norman stated that this case was tabled and fees will continue as they <br />have been for the time being. <br /> <br />Case #13: Peddlers and Solicitors <br /> <br />It was noted that the granting of the peddlers and solicitors license for World Media <br />International was pulled from the Consent Agenda. Councilmember Anderson stated that <br />she is not fond of peddlers working the streets of Ramsey anyway and she was not certain <br />about the waiving of the fee. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich suggested that the license could be granted and the fee waived <br />contingent upon what he finds out about the legality of waiving the fee for licensing. <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to approve the <br />peddler/solicitor license for World Media International contingent upon City Attorney <br />review of the legality of waiving the fee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman and <br />Hendriksen. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Anderson as she has <br />reservations about street peddlers/solicitors. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Reilley Estates versus City of Ramsey <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that Council has a letter from the attorney representing the <br />City of Ramsey in the lawsuit Reilley Estates versus the City of Ramsey. They are <br />asking for a deposition from City Engineer Jankowski, Zoning Administrator Frolik and <br />City Administrator Norman on May 26. All of Council is requested for depositions on <br />May 27. The attorney needs to meet with everyone ahead of time.
