RAMSEY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />MONTHLY REPORT <br /> JUNE 1999 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS <br /> <br />Department Meeting 06/17/99 18:30 hours <br /> <br />ACSO Crime Lab Deputy Steve Johnson gave a video and lecture on clandestine lab operations and their dangers <br />with emphasis on Meth labs. Good presentation. <br /> <br />RK: Cty Atty update on warrantless motor vehicle searches, loud parties, and entries into private residences. <br />Copies handed out along with a laminated cheat sheet from the Cty Atty's office on warrantless searches. <br />Discussion/questions tabled until next meeting. <br /> <br />Ail officers introduced to the new State driver's license. Polaroid Corp. won the bid for the next five years - pros <br />and cons discussed. <br /> <br />JW: Illegal aliens and 1NS information presented. INS will not check employees from businesses - don't have <br />the personnel. <br /> <br />Concerns of North Fork discussed - continued with traffic patrol and radar in this area. <br /> <br />Discussed the McLafferty situation - no change- but the placing organization will be responsible for transporting <br />runaway from that location. <br /> <br />DAG: Mandatory Shoots, all must attend or you be considered to be absent w/o leave. <br /> <br />Singewald and Voit recognized for their efforts in Juvenile Conferencing. <br /> <br />Erdman injured his knee off duty and this puts us in a very tight squeeze for the summer months. Overtime will be <br />forth coming. <br /> <br />8/14/99 Diamonds will need an officer from 14:00 and 22:00 hours. <br /> <br />Cheryl on maternity leave June 19 - August 1't (possibly October (12 wks)) <br /> <br />TD: Went over Heartstart Defibrillator. Gave video and lecture instruction and presented student guide. <br />Written test was given and selected officers were chosen this night to go through hands on simulation with the unit. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 21:05 hours. <br /> <br />The department responded to 1178 Calls For Service compared to in 817 June of 1998. <br /> <br /> <br />
