Continued development of
Business Park 95 by the City of Ramsey required extending Radium Street north off of
McKinley. That extension occurred at the location of the cul-de-sac bulb and therefore a
vacation of that bulb right-of-way is required. The vacation exhibit and proposed ordinance is
enclosed.

Notification:

Property owners within 350 feet of the subject property were notified of the public hearing in
1998. The additional hearing on August 10, 1999, was published in the Anoka Union.

Observations:

On August 10, 1999, the City Council conducted a public hearing and introduced an ordinance to
vacate the road right-of-way easement for the bulb on the eastern terminus of McKinley Street
N.W. In accordance with the City Charter, the ordinance is eligible for adoption at this time.

Recommendation:

City Staff recommends adoption of the ordinance at this time.

Council Action:

Motion to introduce Ordinance #99- to vacate the McKinley Street cul-de-sac bulb.

Recording Secretary shall call for a roll call vote as follows: Councilmember Anderson,
Councilmember Connolly, Councilmember Zimmerman, Councilmember Hendriksen,
Mayor Gamec.

Review Checklist:
Community' Development Director
City Engineer
City Attorney

CC: 08/24/99
