Attorney recommends that the City move forward with the installation of the Inacom equipment <br />.as authorized by the Council action of August 24, 1999; however, at a future Council meeting <br />Resolution #99-07 be rescinded to closely reflect the motion of August 24, 1999. Attached to <br />the Weekly Update is a memorandum from City Attorttey discussing computer upgrade <br />purchases. <br /> <br />AACAP/Highway #47 Houses Update. The City Council requested that the Anoka County <br />Community Action Program (ACCAP) provide an update of their plans for the houses along the <br />Highway #47 Improvement Project. Attached to the Weekly Update is a letter from ACCAP <br />providing an ttpdate olt the Highway #47 houses. <br /> <br />Part-time Secretary Position. Staff has been interviewing finalists for the part-time secretary <br />position in Administrative Services throughout the week. A recommendation for Council <br />consideration will be placed on the Personnel Committee and Council agenda of September 14, <br />1999. <br /> <br />NIMBY Article. The Council may have noticed an interesting article in the August edition of <br />the Minnesota Cities magazine. The article discussed how cities can work with NIMBYs (Not in <br />my back yard). In case Council may have missed the article, a copy is provided in this Weekly <br />Update. Attached to the Weekly Update is an article regarding the NIMB Y factor from the <br />Minnesota Cities magazine. <br /> <br />Former Elected Official Invitations. A letter has been sent out to all former elected <br />Councilmembers and Mayors to inform them of the upcoming 25-Year Anniversary Celebration. <br />The letter invites the former elected officials to be part of the parade and some type of special <br />ceremony following the parade.
