Now that we have estimated the land
demand based on .Metropolitan Council's projections and the densities
established within the Future Land Use Plan we must look at available
developable land supply and determine if such projections can be
accommodated and if not, what level of development can be
accommodated. Table V-6 represents an inventory of vacant residential
lands based on the future land use plan and an estimated capacity based
on the previously made assumptions on density.

Table V-6 Available Land Inventory and Estimated Development Capacity

Land Use Net Developable Average Density Total Units
Acres Units/Net Acre
Mixed R-I Low
420 3.5 1470
Density Residential
Urban/Rural 430 2 860
Transition Residential
Medium DenSity 69 6 414
Higti Density 94 10 940
Future Urban
Residential Totals 1,013 3.64 3,684

FutU'r~ Permanent ............
Rural~2 Totals 3,200 .3 960
Total All Futu~'e ......
Lands ' 4,213 1.1 4,644

t2 This includes both the Rural Preserve area (1200 acres of vacant or ag land at a density of 1 unit per 10

acres) and the Rural Developing area (2000 acres of vacant or ag land at 1 units per 2.5 acres).
